Research data usually last longer than the project within which they were collected or created.

Research Data Lifecycle represents individual phases of development of research data, from the initial conceptualization of the research problem, data collection (primary and secondary), data processing and analysis, publishing results and sharing research data, long-term management of data to reusing research data from third parties.

In the following pages, we present each of the phase of the research data lifecycle in detail. We provide recommendations on how to manage research data in every phase, so as to ensure quality and sustainability of research data after the conclusion of the project.
