Research infrastructures and advanced scientific facilities are complex entities that operate at the forefront of scientific and technological innovation. Managing such infrastructures requires a unique combination of scientific knowledge, technical expertise, management cleverness, and diplomatic skills to engage a wide array of international stakeholders and funding bodies. Effective leadership in these environments require a balance between scientific needs and operational feasibility, making the identification, training, and retention of skilled personnel a critical priority. The RItrainPlus project introduces a novel approach, uniting research infrastructures, core facilities, business schools, and European universities to enhance the human resource capabilities of national and international scientific institutions. Through its innovative framework, RItrainPlus aims to professionalize management. Key objectives include defining competency profiles, delivering targeted executive education for medium and senior RI managers, and developing scalable "Train the Trainers" programs. Additionally, the project is implementing a personalized coaching initiative, promoting knowledge exchange through mobility programs, and fostering a community of practice for sharing best practices. By focusing on competency development, collaboration, and innovative training methodologies, RItrainPlus seeks to strengthen managerial capacities and ensure the efficient and sustainable operation of research infrastructures across Europe. Poster will present the RItrainPlus Community of Practice (CoP), which serves as a forum for discussions on key issues, offering opportunities to share knowledge and best practices through a peer-learning approach. It aims to support research infrastructures (RIs) and core facilities (CFs) in addressing their unique managerial and operational challenges. The CoP hosts community meetings every two months, and by signing up, participants gain access to recordings and meeting materials. This provides an excellent opportunity to learn from experts and stay informed on the latest developments in research infrastructure management.
